Who we are

COM 260S - Photojournalism is a special topics course offered for the Spring term in 2026. We are hoping to make this course a regular part of our course offerings, although it will not always be off campus. Photojournalism is a vibrant field in which to work and tell stories primarily using images. This course’s goal is to help students realize a giant leap in their creative and technological skills with photography and visual storytelling.

During this course, students will learn how to tell compelling stories through photography and basic journalistic writing skills, using proper AP Style. During our time off campus, students will be documenting our experiences with photos which will be shared with the world through our blog site and social media and with the campus community through presentations.
